Daniel Siehl, a native of Pennsylvania, is a retired biochemist who dedicated his career to advancing research in mammalian and plant physiology and biochemistry. He earned his BS and PhD degrees from the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine and authored 40 scientific publications during his distinguished career. Much of his work focused on optimizing food security by developing innovative traits to increase agricultural yield and enhance weed control.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dan is an avid runner and cyclist who enjoyed an enriching stint working in the dynamic environment of Silicon Valley prior to his retirement. Since 1990, he has been self-managing an investment portfolio, specializing in technology and biotechnology stocks while maintaining a diversified strategy through basket instruments. His approach is grounded in thorough research, aiming to acquire conviction before investing for the long term, all while staying attentive to trading opportunities.

Dan and his wife Corinne are strong advocates for education as a pathway to self-sufficiency and personal fulfillment. Their shared values have made them enthusiastic supporters of organizations like Coral Tree, which align with their mission to empower individuals through education.
