Bey was born in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Due to his family’s poverty, Bey left his home to live in a pagoda and become a Buddhist monk in order to get education at a young age. After graduating from high school, he studied at the University of Management and Economics (UME) in Battambang and received a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. Before joining Coral Tree, Beav taught computers to elementary school age children at a private school in Battambang. He feels very fortunate to be a part of the Coral Tree family and helping it pursue its mission of educating poor children. He is a very dedicated computer instructor and often acts above and beyond the call of duty. He is in training for leadership and is working on perfecting his English. To save money and to serve the community, Bey still lives in a pagoda. He is committed to the Foundation and its Prek Snor school and to serve the community served by the pagoda.
